Our Centers & Programs

Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE)

CARE advances the health of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders by addressing diseases disproportionately affecting these communities. Through research, education, and clinical initiatives, CARE works to improve health outcomes.

Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC)

CERC is the first U.S. university-based center dedicated to developing cost-saving innovations in healthcare. By integrating engineering, medicine, and management, CERC aims to replace costly, high-risk treatments with value-driven, efficient, and safe care solutions.

Program for Bedside Medicine (Stanford Medicine 25)

The Stanford 25 program focuses on teaching essential bedside examination skills and engages thousands of visitors online each day. It aims to enhance the practice of medicine through improved clinical skills and patient interactions.

Center for Digital Health (CDH)

CDH develops innovative, accessible, and ethical digital health solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration. CDH focuses on AI in healthcare, aging, global health, mental health, and rare diseases. Through pilot grants, industry partnerships, and cross-disiplinary research, the center advances technology-driven healthcare solutions to enhance outcomes worldwide.

PRESENCE

The Presence initiative at Stanford Medicine serves as a think tank and incubator dedicated to exploring humanism, connection, and meaning in medicine. It leverages resources from all seven schools on campus to promote better technology use, enhance the patient-physician relationship, and reduce medical errors associated with inattentiveness.

Translational Applications Service Center (TASC)

TASC is a fee-for-service research laboratory that provides analytical services, consulting, training, and shared access to advanced research equipment. Supporting both Stanford and external investigators, TASC enables innovative research through specialized resources.

Translational Research and Applied Medicine Center (TRAM)

TRAM bridges the gap between research and patient care by accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical applications. TRAM is dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration by removing barriers and communication gaps between scientists, clinicians, and researchers across disciplines.

Master's of Science in Translational Research and Applied Medicine (M-TRAM)

M-TRAM trains future leaders to apply principles of translational medicine and bring medical innovations into practice. This one-year master’s program is designed for biomedical research, clinical, and industry professionals, focusing on transforming promising new therapies, diagnostics, and vaccines into reality.
